Why Having a CFP® on Staff Matters

Time to read: 4 Minutes

Happy millennial couple exited to buy first house together, consulting about apartment purchase in broker or realtor office, spouses smiling receiving good offer from real estate agent.

When it comes to financial guidance, there’s no shortage of titles and certifications in the industry—but not all of them carry the same weight. At The Tranel Financial Group, we’ve always believed that the quality of advice matters just as much as the relationship behind it. That’s why we’re proud to have a CFP® professional (Certified Financial Planner™) on our team.

Because when you’re making decisions about your future, it’s important to know your advisor is held to the highest standard.

What a CFP® Brings to the Table

Earning the CFP® designation requires a deep level of commitment—extensive education, practical experience, and passing a comprehensive exam covering all aspects of personal finance, from retirement income strategies to estate planning and tax considerations.

But what truly sets a CFP® apart are the high standards. It’s more than a principle—it’s a legal and ethical responsibility to act in the client’s best interest at all times. That standard aligns closely with how we approach every relationship: with transparency, clarity, and care.

Having a CFP® on staff gives our team an added layer of experience and perspective. It’s one more way we hold ourselves accountable to the people we serve.

A Broader View of Financial Planning

Every financial decision you make touches another part of your life. Whether you’re considering retirement, selling a business, changing careers, or navigating family transitions, you need a plan that’s aligned across the board.

Our CFP® professionals bring a comprehensive, planning-first mindset to the work we do, one that connects all the pieces into a thoughtful, forward-looking strategy.

That means the conversations we have with clients go beyond “How much should I save?” or “Where should I invest?” We’re also asking, “What are you hoping to make possible?” and “What would bring peace of mind five years from now?”

Because the best plans are about more than financials. They’re about people.

What It Means for You

When you work with a team that includes a CFP®, you’re gaining access to planning that’s both broad in scope and personal in nature. It’s not about one-size-fits-all answers—it’s about solutions that reflect your life, your timeline, and your goals.

It also means you can ask the complex questions—the ones that don’t always have an easy answer—and know that the advice you receive is grounded in experience and designed with your future in mind.

Why It Matters Right Now

Financial decisions carry more weight than ever, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by information, opinions, and changing rules. In times like these, qualified guidance matters.

Having a CFP® on staff means our team is equipped to help you navigate life’s transitions with a clear strategy. It reflects our ongoing commitment to doing what’s right for our clients—not just in moments of urgency, but at every step along the way.

At The Tranel Financial Group, we’re here to offer more than advice. We’re here to walk alongside you with thoughtful planning, long-term perspective, and the confidence that comes from being prepared.

That’s why we believe having a CFP® on staff isn’t just helpful—it’s meaningful.
